Wag Your Tail LLC is owned by two sisters, Dawn and Heather. We have a great time working together, love dogs, and believe that life is something to be enjoyed.

How Wag Your Tail, LLC came to be …

The motivation to start Wag Your Tail began during late 2005.

Dawn was doing some soul searching and had a desire to start a business, but was not sure what business she should start. Dawn was a professional skater for many years and she (along with everyone else) knew a cube was not the place for her. After being out of the skating world for a few years, Dawn called Heather and said, “Hey I need to do something. I want to start a business and have something I can call my own. I want to be a part of something that would put a smile on a person’s face. I mean, I know I could never work in your world Heather, I just know it. You have to be at your job at a certain time, have a schedule, and no one applauds for you when you are done doing something!” At that time, Heather was in the cube world; working with numbers and torturing herself with a one hour commute each way to the office (when there was no traffic).

Heather did not take Dawn too seriously until they both attended a Bon Jovi concert together. During the concert Heather began to pick up on some themes. Themes in the music that encouraged living your own life and doing what you loved. While leaving the concert Heather, laughing; looked at Dawn and said, “What am I doing? There must be something more? If Tommy and Gina never backed down, why should we?!”

In February of 2006, Heather was at work and leaned back in her chair, and looked up at the ceiling; knowing that there must be something better for herself. Earlier she had walked by a manager and said hello, and the manager looked right at her and gave no response. The environment clearly did not match with Heather’s personality. So as Heather was staring at the ceiling, she thought to herself, “I want to do something that makes my tail wag.”

Heather then sprang forward in her chair, wrote down: Live Your Life, Love Your Life, Wag Your Tail, and drew a sketch of our logo. She grabbed her cell phone, ran outside, called Dawn and told her the idea. That is how Wag Your Tail, LLC came to be.

Now if anyone out there knows any member of the Bon Jovi band, we would love to have them wear our shirts. We would be happy to design one just for them. Based on the 6 degrees of separation theory, we just thought we would give it a shot. You can’t blame us!

Both Dawn and Heather are big believers in keeping things real, having a good time, living passionately, and treating everyone with respect.
